Roofed Hook-lift Containers
Hook-lift containers with roof to DIN 30722. Protection of content against weather, unauthorized access and loss of light materials. Hinged, sliding, tarpaulin and combined roof systems.
When to choose a roofed container
Weather protection
Moisture-sensitive materials — paper, cardboard, textiles, wood chips, biomass. A roofed container prevents the content from getting wet and gaining weight in the rain.
Content security
Valuable waste (metals, electronics), hazardous materials or situations requiring prevention of unauthorized access. Lockable roofs provide security protection.
Legal requirements
Transport of light materials (polystyrene, foils, PET bottles) on public roads requires load covering. A roofed container prevents material loss during transport.
Hinged roof
Hinged steel roof Steel
Single-piece or two-piece steel roof on hinges. Hydraulic opening (standard for larger volumes) or manual (smaller containers). The roof tilts backwards a allows full loading with excavator or crane from above.
- Full access from above when loading
- Robust steel construction — long service life
- Hydraulic control for larger containers
- Lockable — content protection
- Higher weight than tarpaulin solution
- Space needed above container for tilting

Tarpaulin roof PVC-PES
Sliding tarpaulin roof PVC-PES
PVC-PES tarpaulin on steel rails. Opens by longitudinal sliding. Fast and simple operation by one person. Low weight, favourable price. Suitable for materials not requiring a fixed roof.
- Low weight — higher payload
- Fast opening/closing by one person
- Economical solution
- Easy tarpaulin replacement when worn
- Lower mechanical resistance than steel roof
- Limited tarpaulin lifespan (UV, mechanical damage)
- Unsuitable for sharp / heavy falling objects

Sliding segment roof
Sliding roof Steel / ALU
Segment roof made of steel or aluminium panels on rails. The segments slide into each other (telescopic principle). Allows partial or complete uncovering of the container. More robust than tarpaulin, lighter than hinged steel roof.
- Telescopic opening — variable access from above
- Good weight/durability compromise
- Aluminium segments — low weight, corrosion-free
- Lockable
- More complex construction — higher price
- Rails require regular maintenance

Combination roof + doors
Roof + rear / side doors Kombi
Combined system with roof (hinged, tarpaulin or sliding) and rear or side doors. Allows loading from above as well as from behind/zboku. Ideal for containers loaded by forklift, belt conveyor or manually.
- Dual access — from above + behind/side
- Universal loading (excavator, forklift, manual)
- Doors: single-leaf or double-leaf
- Any roof type combination
- Highest price due to combination of elements
- Doors reduce rear wall stiffness — reinforcement required
